• Convince the captain that you needed to search for contraband or fugitives
  • say you're searching for a fugitive but you are really looking for husband
• Keep under the radar
• Indulge bank balance not ego
• Rat out other pirates
• Let harmless pirates go for a 10% cut of their cargo and let them know they can pay you 10% every time you cross paths - protection - better than taking 100% You don't care about the 10% - it's a con - you want them on the hook to use for decoys or fall guys
• Use gas giants instead of at starports for fuel
• Have an exit plan
